Seasonal Calendar

The north Kimberley is a national biodiversity hotspot with 16 fish, 10 frog, 31 reptiles, 6 mammals and 2 bird species and a staggering 230 plant species found nowhere else in the world. Most of the region is dominated by tropical savanna vegetation, however there are patches of rainforest that contain around 25% of the flora in the Kimberley.

The Kimberley Coast is the most coral diverse area in Western Australia, experiencing 11 metre tides. It supports significant populations of turtles, dugong, humpback whales, sea snakes and fish.
